The Forum for Former African Heads of State and Government
Brand Africa ambassadors are high-profile, distinguished and influential African, diaspora and individuals with an African heritage who are recognized globally in their respective and diverse fields. They endorse and champion Brand Africa initiatives through their networks and engagements. Where they are available and relevant, ambassadors participate in Brand Africa initiatives that leverages their craft, expertise, platforms and networks.
The Brand Counsel is Brand Africa’s community of distinguished professionals, thought leaders influencers and related industry associations in branding, creative, innovation, marketing, research, communications and related disciplines across Africa and the diaspora who provide expert input and insight on Brand Africa’s brand-led agenda and initiatives.
The Youth Counsel are influential African and diaspora youth (age 15-35) who are active in public, private or civil society initiatives aimed at accelerating Africa’s socio-economic development, image and reputation. The Youth Advisory Board helps to shape the African youth agenda, create awareness and mobilize participation in Brand Africa youth initiatives. Membership to the Youth Advisory Board is for a 3 year period or until the age of 35, whichever comes first.
The Brand Africa Investment Counsel is Brand Africa’s community of trade, investment and finance professionals who provide expert input and direction for initiatives and opportunities to promote trade and investment within and between Africa and other markets, and to create an enabling environment to trade and do business in Africa.
Brand Africa Media Counsel are experienced and influential African and diaspora editors, journalists and media owners who through their report and coverage of Africa and African stories shape and provide an authentic context to the African narrative that shapes the African brand.
The Brand Africa Creative Counsel is a community of influential and experienced African and diaspora creative professionals across design, advertising, fashion, arts and culture whose ideas help shape an authentic African narrative and brand image.
Brand Africa Academic Counsel is Brand Africa’s community of distinguished African and diaspora academic professionals and academic thought leaders and influencers in communications, branding, creativity, media, economics, business, development and social sciences, who provide expert input and context into and shape the Brand Africa’s world-class education agenda to ensure that it responds to African conditions.
Brand Africa National Partners are agencies of governments established to proactively create a positive and compelling image, reputation and an enabling environment for investment, trade, tourism, productivity and active citizenship for their countries and ultimately for brand Africa.
