Governance and Operations

The Brand Africa governance is structured around global principles of corporate governance that ensure independent oversight, transparency, accountability and representivity.

Brand Africa is incorporated in the Republic of South Africa as a Non Profit Company (NPC 2013/146300/08).

Brand Africa subscribes to the Independent Code of Governance for Non-Profit Organisations in Africa (www.governance.org.za).

Board of Trustees

Board of Trustees, led by Founder and Chairman, Thebe Ikalafeng, which oversees governance and gives strategic direction, is supported by Brand Leadership Academy as the Secretariat and an independent active African and diaspora network of Patrons, Ambassadors, Counsels (for Academia, Branding, Creative, Youth, Media and Investment), National Partners, International Partners and Africa Champions who lend their experience and insights to Brand Africa initiatives and broaden its reach across Africa and globally.
